Group Lessons
What to Expect
Collaborative Group Learning:
Every voice is unique, and our journey starts with a group conversation. Together, we'll define shared and individual goals, understand priorities, and uncover the diverse skills we want to develop. This collective vision becomes our roadmap to the voices we envision.
Structured Group Sessions
Drawing from my decade-long experience in education, I design structured group sessions that cater to the individual needs and learning styles within the group. Through a blend of shared activities and personalized feedback, we'll ensure steady progress for everyone.
Mindful Mastery For All
We'll leave confusing musical terms behind and embrace mindful sound creation, simplifying vocal mastery for everyone in the group. Tapping into your natural intuition through a variety of vocal exercises, we'll collectively work towards achieving our desired voices, eliminating stress and frustration along the way.
Breath work for Vocal Freedom
Let's unlearn those bad breathing habits we've picked up over the years. We'll address how stress, anxiety, and daily routines can affect our voices, and through group breathwork exercises, we'll unleash the full power of our collective breath. This will help each of us develop a voice

Resonance
What it is: Resonance is the vibration of our voices within our bodies. Different placements of resonance create different qualities of sound.
Group Goal: We'll work together to understand how resonance affects vocal quality and practice shifting resonance to create richer, fuller sounds that align with our gender identities. We'll explore how traditionally masculine and feminine voices may utilize different resonance placements.
Intonation
What it is: Intonation refers to the patterns of rising and falling pitch in our speech, conveying emotions like happiness, sadness, or excitement.
Group Goal: We'll practice using intonation patterns that are more typically associated with our gender identities, supporting each other in finding authentic expression.
Pitch
What it is: Pitch is the perceived highness or lowness of our voices, measured in frequency.
Group Goal: Through vocal exercises, we'll explore and modify our average speaking pitches to better reflect our gender identities. This might involve raising pitch for some and lowering it for others.
PacE
What it is: Pace is our speaking rate, or how quickly or slowly we speak.
Group Goal: We'll experiment with different speaking rates together, supporting each other in finding a pace that feels comfortable and natural for everyone. Finding our ideal pace enhances clarity and allows our listeners to better understand our message.
Vocal Intensity
What it is: Vocal intensity (or volume) is the loudness of our voices, determined by the amount of air we use and the force with which we expel it.
Group Goal: We'll develop our control over vocal intensity as a group, learning to project effectively in different situations and communicate with greater confidence and authority.
Mannerisms
What it is: Vocal mannerisms are the little quirks and habits in our speech, like uptalk, vocal fry, coughing, sneezing, or the use of filler words.
Group Goal: We'll explore our individual vocal mannerisms and, with the support of the group, decide whether and how to modify them to align with our gender identities.
